While some people might celebrate the end of a season with a party or bottles of champagne, Sunflower Farm decided to end the goat rearing season with an epic goat run.
Fortunately, the goat run at Sunflower Farm is much more humane, safe, and adorable than the well-known bull runs. The goat run at Sunflower Farm involved 33 bucklings and 27 doelings.
As the kids waited to start the run, you could tell just how excited they were. As soon as the person with the camera came into view, they started bleating as loud as their little lungs would let them.
And finally, the baby goats were off, leaping over the hay bales and running into the farm, but that first start turned out to be a bit of a false start. In an adorable turn, all the baby goats ran back into the barn, looking for their moms.
It didn’t take the little ones long to find their way again. They jetted out to the pasture, catching up to their 22 moms and the reward of tasty goat milk.
Even with the official end-of-the-season goat run completed, the adorable antics continued. With kids and moms reunited, the goats wandered around the pasture, bleating with joy.
With the excitement of the day finally at an end, the baby goats settled back into the barn and cuddled up with their moms. What a perfect way to end the season!
