Charlotte and her husband decided they wanted their family to grow. They wanted two things: a puppy and a baby. They had no idea how long it would be before they had a baby, so they decided to get a puppy while they waited.
They adopted a boxer, who they named Bruno. On the day they brought Bruno home, Charlotte took a pregnancy test, which was positive. She and her husband had no idea they’d be caring for both so soon.
While Charlotte was pregnant, Bruno always wanted to snuggle with her. He’d lie by her big belly like he could tell there was someone else inside of her.
Once Charlotte’s son, Arthur, was born, Bruno took on his role as big brother right away. That first night home, Bruno didn’t leave Arthur’s side. When Charlotte used the restroom, she came back to find Bruno lying right beside her son.
Bruno stands, sits, and lies by Arthur as his constant protector. When taking a walk, Bruno stays right by Arthur’s stroller, sometimes even trying to get ahead of it to ensure the way is safe.
The boxer sits with Arthur as the baby watches TV or has tummy time. Bruno lets the baby lie on him and touch him all over. The dog is so gentle with his baby brother.
Now Arthur is in a walker, and Bruno follows him around the home. Soon, the baby will walk, and Bruno will have to start moving a little faster to keep up with his little brother. Charlotte’s boys are sure to have a lot of adventures together.
