One of the best parts about being the parent of a dog or cat is seeing your fur baby happy. No behavior is more indicative of joy than when our four-legged companions have a case of the zoomies.
But dogs and cats are not the only ones who get zoomies. In this case, a trail camera captured footage of a baby deer leaping around in a way that would look familiar to most pet owners.
Without trail cameras, we might never have seen a video like this. Because these cameras are automatic and remote, they offer a window into nature that would otherwise be impossible to view.
It is rare for deer to feel comfortable enough to let loose with humans nearby. But thanks to this trail camera, we can see how zany baby deer can become when they feel relaxed.
At the beginning of the video, the mama deer settles down in the shade to get a much-deserved rest. On the other hand, the baby was not ready for their nap.
As soon as the mama deer sat down, the fawn took off. They leaped across the ground, scattering leaves and surprising their mom. The mama deer lay on the ground and watched, perfectly content with her baby wearing themselves out.
