When K’eyush the Husky stunt dog sprained his ankle, getting him recovered was priority number one, but that meant introducing the pup to something he had never tried before: swimming in a pool.
With his adorable orange life vest on, he made his way into Pools4Paws, an organization with pools designed for fur babies. While their facilities are most commonly used for avoiding heatstroke, they also provided rehabilitation services.
The stunt dog seemed excited as he walked inside, and he immediately started sniffing around for treats. But the rambunctious pup had no idea what was in store for him.
With his mom nearby to encourage the pup, one of the workers guided the Husky to the ramp that led into the pool. As he stared down at the water, K’eyush started to get concerned.
Patiently, the worker-led K’eyush into the water step by step. While he was a strong swimmer, he did not seem to know what to think about the fact that his feet could not reach the bottom.
But after some gentle encouragement and a few treats, K’eyush went back into the water. After a few attempts, he even jumped in after one of the toys the worker tossed in.
After his long day of swimming, K’eyush was rewarded with a new toy, an adorable, fluffy beaver. And he made sure to get back at his mom by shaking off after he was back in the car.
