Nestled together on a couch in a small house in the woods, there lived a bundle of adorable kittens, but these little ones look different from your average kitten. They were Cornish Rex cats.
Cornish Rex cats were an accidentally developed breed that resulted from a mutation in cats born in Cornwall, England in the 1950s. This mutation is what gave the Cornish Rex kittens their signature fur.
Unlike other breeds of cats, Cornish Rex cats lack the outer layer of fur that most felines have. As a result, their fur is fine and is reportedly the softest coat of any cat.
In addition to their signature look, Cornish Rex kitties are known for their athleticism and playful natures, something the kittens’ dad loved to show even while their mom was trying to feed her babies.
But this playful dad had a sweet side too, and he made sure to come to give his babies some kisses and attention while they were snuggling with mom for dinner.
As if these adorable kittens were not enough, elsewhere, one rescue cat mama was feeding her babies. A security guard had brought the mom in after her previous owner had thrown her over a fence.
