When Howl of a Dog arrived in Romania for a spay/neuter campaign, a special dog was waiting there to greet them. Whether it was rain or shine the dog was there, tail wagging whenever he saw them arrive.
Howl of a Dog found out that the dog had been living outside of a grocery for a long time, and someone from the village had been feeding the dog every day. Despite him being so friendly, however, no one wanted the sweet boy.
In Romania, many people view dogs as tools to protect their homes, ward off intruders or aid in hunting. As a result, the townspeople viewed the stray as useless, so he did not find a home there despite Howl of a Dog’s efforts.
While they were there, Howl of a Dog continued to monitor the pup’s health and neutered him. They also placed a collar around his neck to help protect him from being viewed as a stray.
With no knowledge of where the dog came from or where he got the iron burn scar on his nose, Howl of a Dog took him into their care with hopes of finding him a forever home.
At the Howl of a Dog shelter, the dog, who they named Remy, had a warm bed, made new friends, and could play with all the toys his heart desired. Howl of a Dog was hopeful he would find a home soon.
And just a little while later, he did. Remy moved into a loving home that gave him all the love and attention he deserved. Thanks to Howl of a Dog, he will not have to wait out in the rain ever again.
