Seamus the Mejiro fell out of a tree and onto the sidewalk as a chick. When his rescuers could not find his parents, they took the baby bird to a rescue to help him search for a forever home. That search brought him to Donna.

The home of Donna, Christopher, and Sabrina was a unique one. While some families adopt just one or two birds into their family, this family has five. Their names are Matcha, Latte, Kiwi, and Koko.
But these were not your average pets. Donna’s family rescued creatures who cannot be released into the wild after their recovery. They are either too domesticated or have an injury that prevents them from making it in the wild.

But those were not the only animals in their home. They also raised butterflies. Seamus, in particular, loved when the butterflies came out to eat. If he felt brave, he would come and share their sugar water until they flapped their wings, at least.
Seamus had an active and engaging home with all these other animals around him. According to Donna, he also loved getting into anything and everything he could get his beak on.

One of his obsessions was coffee. Whenever Donna made her morning cup, Seamus would try to steal a sip. When a napkin and a paper plate would not keep him out, she resorted to a lid, which works, for now.
Thanks to the help of this loving family, the health and happiness of Seamus and his siblings improved dramatically, and Donna’s family looks forward to the years to come.
