Places like Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary provide homes for all manner of rescued farm animals. Like this baby cow and piglet that became siblings after being rescued.

As an organization, they are used to housing creatures with a lot of character. Still, when they received a call from the South Florida SPCA, they knew they would be getting new residents unlike any of the others.
Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary’s incoming residents were a piglet and baby cow. The SPCA told them the little ones’ stories and informed them that they had to go together wherever the two went.

Having lost their parents, Amos the piglet and Lionel the calf were inseparable. From all appearances, the calf had adopted the tiny piglet. Whenever Amos was scared, he would hide underneath his adoptive bovine parent.
Erika and the rest of Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary were excited to provide Amos and Lionel with new homes. Still, the two creatures were a little nervous at first. As they stepped out of their stall and met their new friends, they were gleeful and at ease.

Lionel and Amos live happily with their chosen family in their forever homes surrounded by love. Just a few seconds of watching the two cavort around the grass is enough to show how happy they are to be together.
As Erika puts it, Lionel and Amos don’t “cow and pig in the normal way,” they learn a lot from each other. Even in the darkest situations, animals are still able to find love.
