A solution for veterans with PTSD that is really working

When it comes to our veterans there really is no way for us to tell them how much we appreciate their services that they gave to our country.  They are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for our rights and freedom and we simply cannot thank them enough for that.

What happens to those veterans when they come home though?  Often time when you think of veterans you think of them over in action, fighting and being brave, but what happens when the fighting stops and they come home?  People often time forget that they’re real people who have real feelings and many of them struggle to get control of those feelings when they come back from active duty.

Many of our soldiers suffer from PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  They can’t seem to shake their memories and have constant nightmares of what they saw and did while at war.  No one blames them for this but unless you’ve experienced it yourself it’s hard to understand what it is they’re going through.

Luckily veterans with PTSD are starting to get more notice and more care options are being provided for them.  Therapy dogs are one form and there are even programs that have veterans working with horses but this one is definitely the most unusual that we’ve heard of.  It’s called Warriors and Wolves program.  It’s based at the Lockwood Animal Rescue Center in Lockwood Valley, California.  What this program is able to do for our veterans is just remarkable!
