Leo’s owners realized their cat liked sitting on a sled and being pulled in the snow. Their dog, Camper, desperately wanted to get in on the action, but they didn’t know how Leo would feel about it.
They decided to let Camper practice by attaching a leash to a cardboard box that Leo would jump into. Camper would then pull the cat around the house in the box.
The family tried many variations, attaching the leash to a basket and cardboard tray. Each time, Leo would enjoy the ride though he could exit the makeshift sled at any time.
However, Leo didn’t always want to get into the sled. Though his dog brother, Camper, would follow him around with the box and leash, Leo wouldn’t always get into the sled, making Camper sad.
Mom and dad bought their fur babies a beautiful new red sled for Christmas. They attached a shiny red bow to the present and let Camper and Leo look at it through the window.
On the first snow, the animals ran out. Camper knew exactly what the sled was for, and he began pulling it around right away. Finally, Leo got on when he was ready, and the two had a wonderful time.
Off they go into the snowy trees. Camper, excited as always, and Leo, cautious but still there, enjoy ride after ride on the snowy path.
