While most cats are content with kitty treats and cat food, Holly’s black cat, Bean, put new meaning to the term “cat burglar.” This crafty cat loves to steal his mom’s food.
When Holly first brought her kitten home, he was the runt of his litter. Holly assumed that when Bean was a kitten, it was hard for the little guy to get food, and that led to him fighting so hard to get Holly’s food.
When we say Bean will stop at nothing to get his mom’s food, we mean it. “He will take the food out of our hands or our mouths,” said Holly.
Whenever Holly sits down to a meal, whether it’s an after-dinner scoop of ice cream or a frozen burrito fresh out of the oven, Bean would be there, trying to steal a bite.
But this voracious cat did not stop his hunger-fueled heists when Holly finished eating. No spot in the house was safe. If Holly left a plate behind, Bean would be there to clean it off, and he was constantly on the counters.
Despite being the runt of the litter, Bean had a big personality. “I kind of see him as a bit of a bratty toddler who gets away with anything, pretty much,” said Holly.
Even though he can be a bit of a stinker, Holly still loved her little thief. “He’s just his own character,” said Holly, “and he’s definitely brought a lot of joy and laughter into our lives.”
