Chipmunks try boiled corn for the first time

Most chipmunks spend much of their day searching the forest for food. These lucky little ones were treated like monarchs by a compassionate woman who fed them all the tasty treats they could ever want.

She would feed them strawberries, apples, seeds and mealworms. Over the years, the woman developed strong, trusting relationships with each tiny chipmunk. Many of the chipmunks trusted the woman enough to come into her home.

In this adorable video, the woman decided to make a new treat for her rodent friends. She boiled corn in a pot and set it aside to cool to a safe temperature for the little ones.

Chucky was the first chipmunk to discover the new treat. He ran inside and went straight for his favorite seeds and blueberries, but he did not seem interested in the sweet corn.

Not long after Chucky enjoyed his snack, another chipmunk named Wally appeared at the front door. The adventurous chipmunk climbed onto the screen to examine the snacks the woman had put out for them.

One after another, all the other chipmunks tried the corn and showed the same response to the new food. The woman and her husband assumed none of the chipmunks liked the corn until Jenny arrived.

Jenny was immediately intrigued by the tasty snack. Finally, the woman had found a chipmunk who enjoyed her cooking, even if the little one had an eccentric way of eating her new food.
