Gotcha, the cockatoo’s mom wanted to find out how the bird would react to snow, but there was one problem. It was too cold outside for a bird. So, Gotcha’s mom brought the snow indoors.

When Gotcha first encountered the white mounds of snow, he did not know what to make of it, hopping around it and keeping the strange substance in the corner of his vision.

But once again, Gotcha’s curiosity overcame his caution. With the patient urging of his mom, Gotcha decided to nibble at the ice. The snow was an immediate hit.

Perching on his mom’s arm, Gotcha continued to munch on the snow, but his glee turned to awe as his mom tossed the snow into the air. As Gotcha went back for another bite of snow, he flicked his head up and sent a clump of snow flying through the air.

But Gotcha’s fun in the snow did not stop there. His mom helped him build a snowman. Then, the cute bird experienced for himself just how great a cushion the snow can be when he stepped onto the snow and immediately faceplanted.

Gotcha does not let that little mishap get in the way of coming back for another bite of that tasty snow. In the end, Gotcha’s first snow day was a runaway success.
