In the middle of a frozen lake, a deer was stuck and rescued by a kind couple. After spotting the creature needing help, the couple took a boat out onto the thin ice.
The skies were clear in Wisconsin, and it was still a cold day. Somehow the deer had gotten far from the edges of the lake and was in the center of it all.
While the couple was getting closer, the deer was staring at them. She was scared and unsure of their intentions. The man had to break the ice with a large hammer to move their boat forward.
A rope was prepared to capture the deer. They wanted to get it around the deer’s legs to be safe. When the boat got close, the deer tried to stand and run.
Slick ice was too slippery, and the deer fell onto her belly whenever she attempted to flee. She was moving but very slowly. Eventually, the couple got right next to her.
Water splashed everywhere as the deer kicked whenever the man tried to throw the rope around her. He was being careful not to hurt her during the rescue.
Thankfully they got the deer on the boat, and the woman held onto the deer while they rowed closer to the tall grass. The deer jumped out and looked back at them before walking away.
