Kotaro, an otter, kindly builds a nest for his dad while his sister, another otter, Hana, takes a bath. He has a daily routine of building and improving his nest.
For his bedding, Kotaro likes to gather pieces of cloth, and Hana is already sound asleep. Recently he has not been satisfied with cloth and has been collecting sheets and bags.
Hana wakes up and watches Kotaro continue to build nonstop. It appears to be a tiring job, but Kotaro is happy to do it if it means they will all sleep well.
When dad puts some of the sheets back, Kotaro is appalled and retrieves them once again for his nest. The following day Kotaro is up early, already grabbing sheets for his building project.
Instead of bringing them to his bed, Kotaro surprises his dad by putting the sheets on the mattress. Kotaro felt that it was time to build a nest for his dad.
Hana was bathing and calling for Kotaro, who did not come because he was busy crafting the best nest for his dad. He climbs back and forth with sheets in his mouth.
Once the nest is complete, Kotaro is satisfied and begins to rest. Hana enters the room soaking wet and jumps into bed with Kotaro and their dad. The blanket is drenched, and the sheets are scattered everywhere.
