Debunking the myth: why cats cannot thrive on a vegan diet

Are cats vegan? No way! Cats are carnivores. If you love cats, you know this is part of the deal, as they love their meat. Every species has their own dietary needs at different stages of their life. Kittens require their mother’s milk for proper nutrition. Hannah, the narrator, tells us that in her line of work, she has seen many people try to feed kittens food that is not nutritionally complete for them.

Oat milk, almond milk, and soymilk are not suitable for cats. Neither is cow milk, for that matter. It does not include the nutrients that kittens need. They need cat milk from their mommies or a formula close to it. Her kittens, who were orphaned, drink this type of milk, and at five weeks old, they are now going to be weaned onto a diet of meat.

It is a natural and healthy diet for them. Cats were not meant to be vegan, says Hannah. The little kittens in the video are so adorable! They look so sweet and cuddly! Hannah herself is vegan, and she is thriving. The cats, however, need meat to be strong and healthy. Cats’ teeth are very sharp and made for hunting, ripping, and tearing.

Cats cannot produce certain nutrients that they need to survive. They need supplantation to get the full spectrum of the nutrients they require. Hannah points out that you should have a different pet if you do not want to feed your cat meat. Cats were not meant to be vegan!
