Dogs are hilarious. It’s surprising what tricks they come up with to try to get their way. While their humans can usually see right through their doggy cleverness, it doesn’t make their attempts any less funny.
Take the dog in the video below, for example. He’s obviously a big fan of the dog park. After a while of running around and having fun, he just doesn’t want to leave. And who can blame him? Trading in the fresh air and spring grass for going back inside isn’t much fun.
So what’s his brilliant solution? To play dead. Very dead.
Just as his human wants to round him up to go home, this golden retriever falls to the ground and refuses to move. His owner, likely having seen this bit of drama before, gently tries to lift the dog. No dice. ‘I’m still dead,’ the pup seems to say. ‘Might as well go home without me.’
His human tries a couple more attempts at rousing the dog, with no luck. It’s time to call in the big guns. And what could possibly bring this cute puppy back to life? A stick, of course! And the dog is up and running, leaving everyone at the dog park in stitches.
