In the water, an Osprey was drowning, but a brave woman and her family came and saved him. The bird was flapping his wings wildly, trying to stay afloat.
Ospreys dive into the water to catch fish, and something must have gone wrong for this one to be stuck. It was a bright day, and it was unclear what the accident was.
At that point, it didn’t matter how the bird got into the water. All they wanted to do was save it. The woman reached out into the water with a wooden paddle.
When the Osprey saw her reaching out, he understood right away that he was being rescued. He turned in the water and started to climb up the paddle.
There was some trouble in his ascent at first. His wings were drenched, and he was losing his balance. The woman lowered the paddle slightly so he could get on the broader part of the object.
Then they drove the boat closer to shore, and the woman kept her face down to protect herself just in case the bird got scared and lashed out.
The bird accidentally cut her finger with his talons, but the woman remained calm and didn’t even flinch. Her blood was dripping onto the paddle, and the people with her nudged the Osprey. The majestic bird flew away, and his life was saved.
