After being abandoned outside, Violet, the kitten, was in terrible condition. But that did not stop his foster mom, Claudia, from taking him into her home and giving him the care she needed.
Even as early as the first day, Violet showed his foster mom his adorable personality. All he wanted to do was eat, sleep and rest, but that did not stop the kitten from “making biscuits” from the beginning.
As the days went by, Violet’s condition continued to improve. “Once I knew he was feeling really, really good,” Claudia said. “I decided it was time for him to meet everybody.
Violet’s favorite member of his foster family was Chapo, the Pitbull. The adorable kitten treated Chapo like his mother, snuggling up to the big dog and leaning up against him.
The love between the two animals was mutual, and Chapo would give Violet little kisses and play gently with him. That was, until Violet got a serious upper respiratory infection.
Chapo transitioned from mother to nurse for Violet. Instead of playing with him, he kept a watchful eye over his kitten charge until Violet completely recovered from the illness.
Thanks to Chapo, Violet not only got better but has learned how to be a better pet. “Chapo taught Violet how to be a pet, how to be an animal, how to thrive in his new body.”
