Gentle giant dog goes shopping at his local dollar store

Everyone likes a good deal, and the dollar store is one of the best places to find deals. But, apparently, humans are not the only ones who like a good deal. Dogs do too!

At a dollar store in Florida, a 135-pound dog decided to see what his local shop had to offer. Earlier in the day, the dog stepped into the store and wandered up and down the aisles.

The dog, who they later found out was named Bentley, walked around like he knew where he was going. They did not want to shoo him away, so they waited for his owner to arrive.

Unfortunately, the dog’s owner never arrived. When it was closing time, the owner of the store could not lock up the store with him inside, but she also did not want the dog to get hurt on the street.

So, she called the local police officers to get some help. As friendly and calm as Bentley was, getting him to leave the dollar store took more work than they had expected. Obviously, he was not done shopping!

Eventually, the officers got a large enough collar for the gentle giant, and the team led the pup to the door. But before they left, they took a photo to capture the moment.

Fortunately, Bentley had a microchip, which helped the officers contact the dog’s owners, and the shopping dog was reunited with his family. Thanks to the officers and the dollar store staff Bentley made his way home.
