Whether you are a dog-lover or not, watching puppies is an activity that is sure to bring a smile to your face. But humans are not the only ones who like interacting with puppies. Older dogs are just as fascinated by these little ones.
That was the case for the German Shepherd, Rocky, when he met his babies for the first time. Rocky was curious and investigative, but all the puppies seemed ecstatic about meeting the older dog.
There was not a tail on the bed that was not wagging as fast as it could. As one commenter put it, “Look at those tails! It’s a virtual wag-a-thon!”
While the puppies were unified in their excitement, they each had clear distinctions in personality. One puppy seemed shy, hiding behind a pillow as Rocky investigated each of the babies.
Since the rest of the puppies were more than eager to greet their dad, Rocky got some help with finding one on one time with this shy pup. His human mom stepped in to give the two of them time together.
As he greeted each of the puppies, it became clear to Rocky who the troublemaker of the group was. That title belonged to a blond puppy who tried nipping at his dad’s nose.
While he did bare his teeth at the offending pup, Rocky was still gentle and cautious with the new babies, offering a glimpse into the loving dad he would be to the pups.
