Sweet German Shepherd won’t stop crying until she is rescued

When Hope for Paws found out about a stray German Shepherd that had been crying for days, they rushed to rescue the poor dog. When they met the sweet dog, she continued to cry, and for a second, it looked like she might run away.

The rescuers needed to act fast to help the scared pup. They positioned themselves on either side of a narrow gap, and one of the rescuers urged the stray dog into the waiting lead of the other rescuer.

Once the rescuers had the lead around the whining German Shepherd, they guided her to the car, but she panicked, whimpering and pulling against her lead. Not wanting to pressure her or accidentally hurt the terrified dog, they assured the dog she was safe and waited with her while she calmed down.

Step by step, the rescuers walked the German Shepherd over to her crate, pausing to feed her scraps and pet her. And as she stepped into the crate, she seemed to know that everything was going to be alright.

Once she was back at the shelter, the German Shepherd got her first bath, and afterward, she snuggled into one of the volunteers. Just like that, her whining was gone.

Two weeks later, the German Shepherd, who they named Dunbar, got a special visitor. Her rescuers had returned to visit her, and it was like she was a completely different dog.

The second Dunbar saw them, she ran as fast as she could to say hello. She showed off her new friendship with one of the other dogs and even played with the people who had given her a second chance.
