When the horse, Queen Uniek, was in labor, she was in tremendous pain. When she went through the birthing process, tragedy struck. While she survived the process, her foal did not.

Afterward, she could tell something was wrong. She seemed nervous, looking everywhere for her missing foal. Her handler, Yvonne, comforted her with scratches and an apple, but she was understandably distressed.
One day later, Yvonne brought a foal named Rising Star to the stables. Rising Star had lost his mother, and Yvonne hoped that Queen Uniek would adopt the foal as her own.

Yvonne and her team were ecstatic about Queen Uniek’s reaction. The mother seemed to dance as soon as she saw Rising Star. “It was a very special moment,” said Yvonne.
One day after introducing the two horses, Queen Uniek became protective over Rising Star, standing over him like a guardian. From that moment forward, the two horses were inseparable, according to Yvonne.

When Yvonne brought the two of them out to the fields, Rising Star pranced around the field, and his adoptive mother was right behind him, making sure he did not get too far away.
Even though both horses faced tragedies, they found new life in one another. Thanks to Yvonne and her team, Rising Star and Queen Uniek could build a happy family together.
