“Linda is a sass monster,” her human mom says. The pet owner says she knows her dog loves her, but it feels more like cat love than dog love.
Linda’s mom believes her little dog thinks she’s a grumpy cat. Instead of wet kisses and snuggles, this little pup just gives her mom the side-eye and pretends she can’t hear her.
Definite cat vibes abound when Linda refuses to sit and just wants the treats for being her, not for following a command. However, there’s more to Linda’s story than just her sass.
Linda’s owner finished her Ph.D. dissertation and wanted to get a dog. She saw Linda’s photo on a Rescue site that she follows. It was a terribly sad photo.
Linda had been found wandering in rural North Carolina. She hadn’t been spayed, had given birth before, and even had a pin in her leg from surgery. There had been a time when Linda was loved, but how long since that time, no one knew.
When Linda’s mom first adopted her, Linda was hurt, sad, and confused. Her mom gave her anything she thought the dog wanted. That dynamic has continued, and Linda’s mom believes it’s Linda’s world. We’re all just living in it.
Though it’s all in good fun, Linda’s mom teases her by saying she looks like a potato from behind. She also calls her “Linda in HR” to speak to her pup’s attitude. Linda’s mom may say that Linda’s a little grumpy, but it’s clear they’re the perfect match.
