Many people can relate to the feelings of loneliness or just wanting someone to be around. It can be hard to meet new friends, no matter if you’re human or animal. These friendly sheep are excited for a new buddy to welcome to their herd.
Animals usually struggle with shyness, the younger that they are. Once they’re grown up, they understand what it’s like to be independent. Two fluffy sheep were over the moon when they learned that the new arrival to their heard was none other than an adorable donkey.
Farm manager Jane and assistant manager Kim took the foal in and nursed her to health by feeding her with a bottle. Eventually, the cute equine was allowed to play outside with the other animals at the Folly Farm Animal Sanctuary.
Roberta, the donkey, took a while to warm up to the other animals. After some friendly hello’s from a pair of sheep, Roberta now considers herself part of the herd. It’s a beautiful story to see such a helpless animal grow up to be healthy and happy.
