It can be scary to be a cat or a dog waiting for a loving family to adopt you. You spend, days, weeks, months, and sometimes even years stressing out about and wondering just what your new family might be like. Sometimes you even wonder if you ever will be adopted. This uncertainty can be one of the most stressful and trying times in the life of a small and homeless animal.
Meet Monty. Monty is an adorable little cat who is waiting for a loving owner to show his affection for. He has eagerly anticipated the day that someone will walk into the shelter and provide him with the love and care that he has always dreamed of. He wants so desperately to be the cute and cuddly cat that every pet owner dreams of.
Unfortunately, Monty has been overlooked as the most unwanted cat in his shelter for almost three years now due to a genetic abnormality where the bridge of his nose wouldn’t form properly. It is a terrible fact that our attitudes about beauty and looking normal even extend to the pets that we adopt. All Monty needed was for one person to give him a chance and he would be the perfect pet.
After years of waiting, one man decided that this was the cat for him. Monty’s dream of being adopted finally came true. Now Monty finally had a home of his own, and these two became the best of friends.
