People can be pretty heartless and cruel at times. It seems like everyone is just out for themselves, no matter the cost to those around them.
Here is a video that shows us that not everyone is like that, though. There are still good people out there that want to help others that need it – even animals, no matter how small they may be.
This compilation of short clips reminds us that there will always be a few, tender-hearted people who will take time out of their day – and sometimes even risk their lives – to help creatures in need. Author John Bunyan said, “You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”
Dogs seem to get themselves in a bind quite often. In the first clip, a merchant’s vessel spots something standing on top of a small iceberg floating in the ocean.
Once they realize it’s a dog stranded on the iceberg, one of the sailors volunteers to brave the icy waters to bring the exhausted, shivering dog back to the boat.
In Romania, a man risks the icy waters of a canal to save a dog stranded on a broken bridge. He wades through the water and hands the dog off to another man on the bank.
Realizing he’s free, the dog runs off, whining and jumping in joy. Suddenly, as if changing his mind, the dog runs back to the men whining and wagging his tail. He wanted to thank his heroes!
Even wildlife can find themselves in a bind at times. A clip shows an adult bear nervously standing beside a tall dumpster. Unexpectedly, a pickup truck backs up to the dumpster, and a person in the bed of the truck lowers a ladder into it before they go racing off.
Almost immediately after they leave, a little brown head pops up out of the dumpster. Three cubs had gotten themselves stuck inside the dumpster, and poor momma bear didn’t know what to do. The cubs quickly scale the ladder and run off down the road with mom.
This is the type of uplifting video that inspires us to be better and reminds us that there are still good people in the world. Be one of those people. Remember, each life is precious.
