Man who lost his home finds solace in a rescued kitten

When Katie came out to her car one day, she was greeted with a strange surprise. As she glanced down at the grill of her vehicle, she saw a patch of fur and two feline eyes staring out at her.

Somehow, a kitten had trapped itself beside her engine. When she could not coax the kitten out, she called the police. They suggested scaring the cat out by honking the horn.

But that just scared the kitten deeper into the vehicle. That left just one option for the group of people gathered around the vehicle. They had to open up the car and fish the cat out themselves.

After a lot of work, the kitten was free! While Katie felt tempted to keep the adorable kitten herself, she knew that she needed to go with her friend Elec who had lost his home in a fire. He named the little one Tabitha.

Elec said it felt like a sign when Tabitha came into his life. “The worst thing you can think of in your life just happened,” he said. “Good things can still come along.”

Tabitha gave Elec a renewed sense of purpose after he lost his home. Not long after that, his roommate found a black kitten named Luna who immediately bonded with Tabitha.

Not long after that, Elec added another cat named Taco to his feline family. They provided a new sense of stability in Elec’s life, and for that, he would always be thankful.
