Even the most self-supportive creatures can want love sometimes. When a family spots a floating creature in the ocean at Cadboro Bay Beach in Victoria, BC, they decide to take a closer look, but they never expected to find a sea otter.
As the creature got closer, the family noted that the animal was, in fact, a solo sea otter. Usually, otters like to travel alone and keep their distance, especially from humans. But this otter didn’t keep its distance.
In fact, the otter decided to swim right up to one of the men in the water and started cuddling with him. The otter can be seen swimming and playing between his legs. After the otter was done greeting the family, he proceeded to swim away and get back to his solo life.
Everybody needs a bit of socialization from time to time. This otter teaches us never to take people for granted and to make the effort to reach out and just say hi.
