It was a cloudy day, and Mike hoped to catch the sunset near the St. Louis river. The sun didn’t end up showing, and he was about to leave when he noticed something on the ice.

His vision was sharp enough to see the three bobcats crossing the river. Their fur was colored to give them camouflage amongst the trees and bushes.

Mike piloted a small drone and flew it close to them to record what he could. Apparently, it is pretty rare for humans to see bobcats in the wild, so he couldn’t miss this opportunity.

The cats weren’t scared of the drone. Instead, they watched it with curious expressions while remaining cautious. They were comfortable on the frozen river, which was covered with snow.

Mike was able to capture breathtaking footage of the wild animals. The final moment shows the three bobcats lined up on a log, each peaking out to look at the drone.

After that day, Mike realized that he may have gotten too close with himself and the drone. He has to consider the safety of the animals he is filming, and he won’t get caught up in the moment again.
