One of my favorite things to do is watch dogs do tricks. It’s amazing what their mommies and daddies can get them to do. From the very simple, like shaking paws, to the very complex, like going through an obstacle course. YouTube is amazing for stuff like this and it seems like there’s no end to how many are made. Take a look at this video of a very well-trained canine. I couldn’t wait to see what she did next .
We see Veronica-Lynn, a pit bull who does some pretty cool tricks, including saying Grace at the dinner table, getting a tissue for her mommy (though I wouldn’t want to blow my nose on it after that..), getting stuff out of a cupboard, and even putting herself in a “timeout” in her crate. I just wish that she could do my taxes… that would be a really awesome trick on her part. I’d just have to double-check her deductions…
What was amazing about this video is that these are apparently her “intermediate” tricks. I can’t wait to find out what the advanced tricks entail. Solving Fermi’s enigma? Rigging up a faster-than-light-speed spaceship? Writing the next great American novel? I can’t wait to see those videos on her channel. Until then, I will have to occupy myself by watching her do these tricks again.
Some people noticed that Veronica-Lynn always had her tail down when she was doing her tricks. Her mommy, who uploaded the video (this is a smart pit bull, but not THAT smart), said that she always had her tail down when she was concentrating. It wasn’t an indicator of sadness. Apparently, when her tail is up and wagging, it can mean that she’s about to get into some mischief.
