Two precious dogs abandoned in the desert are rescued and bathed

Two dogs, Ragnar and Ronan, were abandoned in a desert and rescued by JoAnn Wiltz and Alex Babcock of Hope For Paws. Ragnar was brown, and Ronan was black.

They received a call from Andrew, who was working on a property in the area. He was familiar with Hope For Paws because he adopted a dog from them named Hippo.

Wiltz and Babcock arrived and met Andrew in the desert. Ragnar and Ronan were already nearby where Andrew was. The dogs were wagging their tails, and Ragnar was barking.

At first, Ragnar didn’t trust Wiltz and Babcock, so they offered him food. Both dogs approached the strangers and joyfully accepted the delicious bribes. Andrew was happy that he was able to help the stray dogs.

Babcock placed a leash on Ragnar first because he was more skittish, then she put one on Ronan. Ragnar felt safe and rolled onto his back and showed his belly.

The once frightened dogs smiled broadly and gratefully followed their rescuers to the car. Wiltz and Babcock laughed as they loaded the dogs into the crates at the back of the vehicle.

After driving to the shelter an hour away, Ragnar and Ronan were given a lovely bath. Ragnar and Ronan were relaxed and content after finally being clean and full of food.
