While avoiding a Leopard Seal, an Adelie Penguin found safety on a passing boat. The passengers were surprised and delighted when the penguin hopped on and stood at the edge.
It was a cold day as most days are in the Antarctic. With the penguin now safe, he looked at the people around him and decided they could be trusted.
His other choice would be to jump back in the water where the Leopard Seal was indeed waiting for him. The people on the boat take the chance to capture the surreal moment.
Everyone has their cameras and phones out, taking snapshots of the adorable and intelligent creature. The penguin had to think fast to realize the boat was a safe haven for him.
With a slow crawl, the boat moved towards an iceberg that had other penguins on it. One person said that the penguins might be jealous of the personal service their friend has received.
The penguin stands tall on the edge of the boat, not realizing that he is about to be reunited with his family. He turns around slowly and realizes he hears his friends.
Carefully the penguin walks off the boat. They joke that the ship was his taxi with curbside service. The passengers cheer him on as he gingerly takes small steps before jumping onto the iceberg.
