Two young boys named Daiton and Rylen helped save a raccoon when they found the poor creature buried alive. They were exploring the wood and saw that an animal burrow had collapsed.

Upon closer inspection, they found a raccoon whose lower body was stuck in the ground. The animal needed help, so the boys rushed to their dad, Dray, and told him what they saw.
Dray brought a shovel and tried to free the raccoon, but a lot of dirt had filled the hole. He decided to call for help from the Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

The rescue team arrived, and they brought several flashlights and shovels with them. It was a dark night and several people shined their lights into the hole while others dug around the raccoon.
They carefully worked to not hurt the animal and ensured they didn’t get bitten. It could have been several hours since the collapse of the burrow.

After some time, they finally got the raccoon free from the dirt, and one of the rescuers inspected his body for any signs of injury. The initial inspection showed no issues.
They took him to the facility to do a final check-up, and thankfully the raccoon didn’t have any injuries. He was released into the wild, and the young boys were heroes.
