Rescue pig loves greeting people at the dog park

If someone were to take a look inside of Maddie’s little stroller, they would be in for a surprise. While most people would use them for a baby, Maddie used her stroller to transport her dog, Dill, and her pig, Pickles.

Dill and Pickles loved riding in their stroller, but they got the most excited when they got closer to the park. “Pickles figured out how to pop the bottom of the stroller open,” said Maddie, “He waits right until we reach the other side of the bridge, and then he hops right out and Dill follows.”

At the park, Pickles loved getting to know everyone, and the people around them seemed to enjoy it, too. “My favorite thing about taking them to the park is just that then other people get such a kick out of it,” said Maddie.

But it was not just at the park where Maddie’s unconventional fur babies got extra attention. “I get a lot of doubletakes whenever I go anywhere with Dill and Pickles,” said Maddie. “They make people really, really happy.”

While Dill and Pickles might look a little different, as far as Dill was concerned, Pickles was just his brother. “Dill is just kind of like, ‘Yeah, this is my pig,’” said Maddie.

Their camaraderie extended to more than just playtime at the park. The two of them often slept together and snuggled together. Dill would look after Pickles, and in turn, Pickles would soothe Dill’s anxiety.

True to the names their mom gave them, Dill and Pickle were an inseparable duo and a perfect team. “The two of them, they’re stronger when they’re together,” said Maddie.
