Rescue Pittie loves his grandma, and she loves him

When Kristi’s son first rescued Prince, the pit bull, he warned his mom that the dog was nervous and shy. But when her son brought Prince home from college, the pup started coming out of his shell.

When he met his “aunt and uncle” dogs, Prince realized that it was okay for him to be silly, too. “Now, he is such a character,” said Kristi. “So silly. So playful. So loving.”

Kristi and her husband were convinced their “grandson,” Prince had a fear of missing out. Whenever she or her husband were doing anything, Prince had to be right by their sides.

This was especially true when it came to her workouts. Before Prince arrived, Kristi’s workouts had been “me time,” but with Prince around, they became playtime. Prince’s favorite workout was plank because it meant he could lie on top of his grandma.

With their son living in Chicago at school and Kristi and her husband living in Texas, there were long periods where they did not see Prince. But when Kristi and her husband made trips to visit the two of them, Prince was overjoyed to see his grandma and grandpa.

“I didn’t have dogs growing up,” said Kristi, “and so, I didn’t know that dogs could be so loving, until we got a pit bull. Prince means the world to me.”

It was clear that Prince was a beloved member of the family. “He loves to be loved on, and he’s so amazing,” said Kristi. “That is my grandbaby, and I just love him.”
