When Rachael and her Sidewalk Specials team found two pitbull siblings cowering beneath a table, they knew they had to help. They threw food at the pups and brought them back to the shelter.

At the shelter, they named the sister Tilana and the brother Buster. After checking them in with the veterinarians, they followed the behaviorist’s advice and sent the two dogs off to different fosters.
At her temporary home, Tilana thrived. She loved all the attention she got from her loving foster mom, and when she had her damaged leg amputated, she was so excited and full of life.

When Tilana arrived at her forever home, she immediately bonded with her human siblings, and the feeling was mutual. The kids cuddled with her and kissed her and fed her treats.
Finding Buster a forever home took longer. After six months, one of the volunteers at Sidewalk Specials brought him to his home and introduced him to his new rowdy canine siblings.

One year after their rescue anniversary, the two families decided to help the two siblings reunite. The moment Tilana stepped out of the car, Buster knew his sister was there.
With their tails wagging, the two siblings stood side by side as if they had never been apart. “It was a beautiful day, just seeing those dogs so happy, so relaxed,” said Rachael.
