As you know, every day many dogs are euthanized in animal shelters across the country. While many times, these shelters simply don’t have enough room to house all the animals, the fact that they need to be put down is not only heartbreaking, it needs to change.
Enter Vet Ranch, a non-profit animal clinic that takes in dogs that are on death row at other shelters and gives them the second chance they deserve.
As you’ll see in the heart-warming video by veterinarian Matt Schuessler, Gracie, a pregnant mama dog gets rescued by Vet Ranch where they are able to deliver her puppies safely.
During the weeks leading up to her pups’ delivery, Vet Ranch gave Gracie a place to live in comfort. Dr Schuessler kept a close eye on Gracie and even gave her X-rays to make sure she was healthy. That’s when he discovered that this mom was going to give birth to a litter of 12 puppies!
While Gracie might be only one dog, Vet Ranch helps countless animals every year. And the charitable organization is only growing thanks to numerous donations from generous individuals.
