Brenda has many rats in her home, and she was surprised when the foster she took in gave birth to 12 babies. One of the babies became her favorite, and her name was Pinks.
Rats make Brenda smile, and they make her feel content and relaxed. She said she had a traumatic past, so they are her support animals.
Pinks was Brenda’s little shadow. She was always with her, and Brenda liked to call her Pinkydinks. The rats roam freely in Brenda’s home, and Pinks is the only one who chooses to go to her.
Brenda received courage and love from Pinks, and she is glad that she chose her. Pinks responds to her name, and she is considered a senior rat at 3 years old.
When Pinks was younger, she liked to learn tricks, and it was easier for her because she was clever and intelligent. She also enjoyed being in the middle of a cuddle pile when sleeping with the other rats.
More often, though, Pinks would sleep with Brenda at night. She would sleep on her chest, and Brenda isn’t sure how she will go to bed at night when Pinks is gone.
Brenda hopes to have as much time as she can with Pinks. Rats have so much care and compassion in them that Brenda has yet to find another animal that loves so fiercely.
