When Sarah adopted Polly, the cat was senior and frail. Polly couldn’t jump and never moved much. Although Sarah had low expectations for the cat, Polly captured Sarah’s heart. Polly was 15 years old when she entered Sarah’s life. The cat suffered from an autoimmune condition and was also deaf.

Sarah allotted a quiet place for the super-senior cat to help her relax and retire. When Sarah got home, Polly started acting like she had spent her life there. She played like a kitten and had her own place where she could fully heal. Due to her deafness, Polly had the loudest meow.
Polly soon became the queen of the house. She was independent and full of personality. Since Polly needed a friend, Sarah soon adopted Elliot. He was from the same foundation as Polly. However, Elliot was in a deplorable condition, and he reminded Sarah of Polly.

Elliot was also around 14 or 15 years old and quickly made himself home. Soon Sarah noticed that Elliot would stay as close to Polly as possible. The two would snuggle up together. Polly also became a kisser for Elliot. She would groom Elliot, and he would lean his head in a certain way. He loved being groomed by Polly, and she also loved grooming him.
Sarah never imagined that Polly needed a boyfriend. It was also good for Elliot to find a friend after being isolated for many years. Sarah had an idea of allowing Elliot and Polly to go on an official date. Sarah took Elliot to the pet store, where they bought a rose, a cat-friendly wine, and some of Polly’s favorite treats.

Sarah lit some candles to make the atmosphere really romantic and lovely. Elliot also wore a tie for the occasion. Polly loved the surprise, and she gobbled up the treats and sipped the cat wine. The two cats had a great time together.
According to Sarah, senior cats tend to adapt really fast. They are very grateful for what they get and bond well with their loved ones. It was like a fairytale for the senior cats.
