Rescuers help stray cat that was stuck in a wall

While most of the sounds we hear at night come from noisy neighbors, the house settling into its foundation or our overactive imaginations, this family realized the cause was a cat.

The cat, who would later be aptly named Walldo, had lived in the wall for a week before he was finally rescued. But the feisty Walldo did not make the job any easier.

At first, Walldo’s rescuers tried calling him out through the hole they had been using to give him water, but he seemed content to stay as far away from them as possible.

His rescuers had to make two holes in the drywall before they could coax the nervous cat to come closer. Once they had the rope around him, Walldo started to fight back, hissing and thrashing at his rescuers.

His rescuers cooed to him even as he swatted at them with his sharp claws. After a lot of work, Walldo’s rescuers were able to get the cat back to the shelter and treated.

Not long after, Walldo was adopted and brought to his forever home where he met his feline sibling. The two of them immediately became close, kissing and playing with one another.

All of Walldo’s feistiness and fear from before was replaced with love and playfulness. Thanks to those patient rescuers and his new, loving mom, Walldo got out of the wall and found his happy ending.
