One chilly evening as Zach walked back toward his mother-in-law’s home he saw something waiting for them on their porch. As they got closer, they realized it was a stray dog.
The moment Zach approached the lonely dog, the pup’s tail started wagging. Zach could tell that the dog was sick, and he reached out to his wife for advice on what to do about their unannounced guest.
Zach’s wife, Libby, was just as surprised as her partner. The house the dog had shown up at had 200 acres around it with no neighbors. Libby and Kyle knew that if they did not take the dog in, he had little chance of survival.
So, they decided to bathe the big dog. Once the dog was all cleaned up, Kyle and Libby gave the disoriented and dehydrated dog some water and food. After that, it was time to get him to the vet.
Kyle and Libby thought the stray dog must have been older, but the vet informed them he was just eight years old. When asked, the vet was just as clueless about where the dog could have come from.
So, after putting his picture up on Facebook and reaching out to their nearest neighbors, Kyle and Libby decided to name the dog Turbo and add them to their family.
Once he was on his medications, Turbo’s health and mobility improved quickly, and he could even keep up with his new younger canine sibling, Ava. Thanks to Kyle and Libby, Turbo had found a perfect forever home.
