Stray mama cat deserves to win mom of the year

After a lifetime on the street, Mama Ally, a stray white cat, knew she and her two kittens needed some help. So, she and her family walked up to the home of a North Carolina family and patiently waited for someone to rescue them.

When the homeowner saw Mama Ally and her little ones, she called Sparkle Cat Rescue for help. The rescuers got hold of Mama Ally and her little ones, but the older cat had one more surprise in store for her rescuers: She was pregnant.

They knew this mama kitty needed a safe foster home where she could have her babies. So, the rescuers reached out to Sarah Kelly, the founder of Murphy’s Law Animal Rescue, who agreed to find a healthy foster home for the mama.

When Mama Ally arrived at her temporary home, she made sure to show she was appreciative. “She was immediately seeking out attention from her foster, Monica, the second she was welcomed home,” said Kelly.

The longer Mama Ally stayed with Monica, the clearer it was that Mama Ally was a kind-hearted and compassionate cat. “She loves to curl up in [Monica’s] lap, on her arm, wherever she can snuggle into the closest!” said Kelly. “She has the sweetest heart.”

When Mama Ally birthed her litter of five kittens, she did so like a “rockstar” according to Kelly. She continued the trend of being an amazing mom by showering her little ones with affection.

Thanks to Mama Ally, her two older kittens were adopted together, and it would not be long before Mama Ally and the rest of her new babies found healthy, happy homes of their own.
