While German Shepherds have a reputation for being guard dogs, they can also be gentle-hearted sweeties. That quality was on full display when Rocky the German Shepherd met an adorable Golden Retriever puppy for the first time.
In Rocky’s past videos, the German Shepherd has had cute and, at times, hilarious reactions to other dogs and even stuffed animals, but this Golden Retriever interaction took the cake.
As soon as Rocky met the little puppy, he was curious, and his sniffer got to work figuring out this strange new creature that showed up on his couch. The puppy, on the other hand, did not know what to think of Rocky.
The Golden Retriever did not seem scared, but Rocky was undeniably larger than the little fluffball. So, she sidestepped the curious German Shepherd and snuck between his legs when she ended up in a corner.
As is often the case with puppies, the baby girl warmed up to Rocky soon enough, and she decided it was time to play. While Rocky lay down on the couch, the Golden Retriever bounded toward him, her tail wagging.
Her playfulness only seemed to perplex the expressive German Shepherd even more. His ears shot up in surprise, and Rocky stood and checked on the puppy as if to make sure she was okay.
With his worry subsided, he lay back down, but the rambunctious pup was not going to give up playing. The puppy squirmed about on her back as the gentle giant watched over her.
