Get ready to swoon, because it doesn’t get any cuter than this. You’re about to fall in love with ten puppies whose mom died even before they were weaned. They needed her desperately and would have died without her, had it not been for Doggie Protective Services (DPS) who bottle-fed and hand-raised these precious babies from the time they were just a couple of weeks old. We are not sure why the mama dog died, but it could have been complications from the birth.
The rescuers selflessly dedicated themselves to providing around-the-clock care for the canine siblings, which included a regular schedule of feedings, baths, and nap time. They tried to mimic what a normal upbringing would have been like had their mother been teaching them the ways of the world and how dogs should behave. It was exhausting, but so worth it in the end. This video was filmed in June 2015. By August, they’d all been adopted by their forever families! Gum Drop, Jelly Belly, Twizzler, Life Savers, Gummy Bear, Skittles, Sweet Tart, Jolly Rancher, Sour Patch, and Starburst are all very lucky and very loved and appropriately named after candy because they were all so sweet.
Getting ten orphaned puppies adopted is no easy task, but clearly Doggie Protective Services was up to the challenge. Thanks to their generosity, these puppies all have loving forever homes.
