Tico the Parrot jams to Rolling Stones’ “Honky Tonk Woman”

If you have been part of a typical jam session before, it probably involved a late night with a few friends who had some extra time on their guitar-strumming hands. Chances are, it did not involve a parrot.

But at Tico’s household, no jam session was complete without Tico the Parrot singing the vocals. And while he did not sing lyrics, he provided musical riffs that were surprisingly on key.

That was precisely what he did in his arrangement of The Rolling Stones’ “Honky Tonk Woman.” As The Man played guitar and his neighbor, Michael, played the bass, Tico took center stage.

For those new to Tico’s performances, “Honky Tonk Woman” was not his first performance. In early 2020, Tico the Parrot debuted in his first cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven.”

Even in his earlier performances, Tico showed exemplary skill at riffing on melodies. But in “Honky Tonk Woman,” the parrot’s performance was off the charts in terms of skill and execution.

As several video commenters pointed out, Tico had a better grasp of musical melody than many humans. He even added vibrato to his voice when he sang, something that even some humans struggle to achieve.

Tico’s musical performances have taken audiences by storm. As of writing, “Honky Tonk Woman” alone has well over 350,000 views, and his fame will continue to grow from here.
