Tiny bearded dragon is the ultimate momma’s girl

When Shannon was younger, she imagined that the first pet she’d have when she lived on her own would be a dog or cat. There was just one major problem: she was allergic to both of them. So, she decided to get a bearded dragon.

At first, she did not know a lot about bearded dragons. Still, she did her research and decided to add Puff to her family, and the two of them bonded almost immediately.

While most people would assume that bearded dragons are low-maintenance pets, the reality is they need a lot of social interaction. Shannon spent a lot of her time with Puff.

Most days, while Shannon worked at her desk, Puff would sit on her, nestled against her neck or resting on her shoulder. Other days, Puff would decide Shannon was not supposed to do work that day and sit on her keyboard.

But Puff was not only a home lizard. She got to go on adventures with Shannon, too. “I take her wherever I go,” said Shannon. Puff even got a lizard-safe sling to sit in while Shannon drove.

Shannon brought Puff with her to Starbucks and even to the pool. Puff showed off her swimming skills at the pool and lounged on the lawn chair with her mom.

Even when she is not out of the house, Puff finds ways to get into trouble and explore her world. “She definitely likes to explore and get into a little bit of trouble,” said Shannon. “I love her so much!”
