On a cold winter day in Northern Romania, one tourist exited his hotel and found an abandoned dog waiting outside in the snow. The sweet dog was cold and hungry, and this kind-hearted tourist decided to help.

While the hotel owner was not certain who had left the dog outside of their establishment, they had tried to shoo the dog away multiple times and told employees not to feed the dog, fearing she would scare away tourists. But she kept coming back again and again, waiting for the family that abandoned her.
The tourist continued to feed her while he stayed at the hotel, and he even bought the dog a crate and a warm blanket to curl into on the cold, snowy nights.

While adoption was tempting for the man, he did not have any room left in his home, having already adopted multiple animals before meeting Indy, as she would later be named.
He was determined to find shelter for her before he left the resort, so he reached out to several shelters, including Howl of a Dog. The only problem was the resort was over 500 km away.

But the tourist was determined to see Indy to safety. He drove the entire distance to make sure Indy found the safety she needed and deserved. His vacation had become a rescue mission.
Thanks to this tourist, Indy made it to Howl of a Dog and began her journey of finding her forever home. Thanks to the efforts of this kind tourist, she was eventually adopted by an American family and given a place where she would always be warm, fed and loved.
