Danielle captured a special interaction between her dog and Quasi on a particularly hot day. On hot days like this one, Quasi descends from his home in the trees and drinks from the fountain in Danielle’s backyard.
As Quasi went to take a drink, Rusty came up from behind and decided he wanted a drink, too. But Quasi did not seem at all concerned about his canine companion.
After years together, Quasi and Rusty had developed an easy bond. Quasi looked up, and the two touched noses. Then, without care, Quasi went back to drinking from the fountain.
Sometime later, Andrew Frost, Danielle Stone’s human neighbor, shared the video of this heartwarming interaction online, and the post received worldwide attention. As of writing, Andrew’s post has over 7.7 million views.
In the post, Andrew credited Danielle and mentioned the effects of climate change and the frustration of climate change deniers. “We can pray for more enlightened leadership in the future!”
Posts like these are the ones that have the power to enact real change. Not every conversation about meaningful change needs to start with doom and gloom. Sometimes all you need to get the message across is a thirsty pup and his koala “mate.”
