With most mixed dogs, it is not that difficult to identify their breeds, but this little dog, Peanut, was a special case. He was a mix of 13 dog breeds.

Before finding his new home, Peanut lived with a loving family. Unfortunately, when his dental needs became too much to handle, his previous family had to surrender them to the Humane Society.

Shortly after Peanut arrived, the dog care manager asked Kristin to foster Peanut. Since her rescue dog had passed away just a week before Peanut arrived, Kristin agreed.

Within a week of having Peanut at her home, Kristin knew that the sweet boy was going to be a “foster fail.” “He just won me over right away,” Peanut’s new mom said.

At his new home, Peanut and his mom continued to grow closer. He was mellow and loved being in his mom’s arms. “He literally would want me to hold him like this all day, every day,” said Kristin.

When Kristin decided to get a DNA test for Peanut, it brought up more questions than answers. Kristin decided to call him a “supermutt extraordinaire.” Whatever he was, he was adorable.

Thanks to Kristin’s help, Peanut was a part of a loving fur family of three rescue cats and three other rescue dogs. While his story was sad at first, he ended up in the right place.
